Join us for Rooted: Community at Vassar, an on-campus event highlighting our dynamic and engaging community. Come learn about the many ways Vassar builds a diverse and inclusive community and creates a sense of belonging among our students. The event will include dean and student panels, an opportunity to connect with campus resources, and student-led tours.
At Vassar, we have a proud history of leading with regard to access and inclusion. We believe that our differences make us stronger. We hope you will join us for this special event to learn more!

1:45pm Building Community at Vassar: A Conversation with the Deans & Faculty
Join us for a conversation with Dr. Kimberly Williams Brown, Director of Engaged Pluralism and Associate Professor of Education, Dr. Lioba Gerhardi, Dean of First-Year Students, and Dr. Luis Inoa, Associate Dean of the College for Student Living and Wellness about the ways in which they build community through classes, on-campus programming, and student advising.
2:45pm: Finding Your Place at Vassar: Student Panel
Vassar brings together students from many different backgrounds to create a community where fierce individualism meets shared purpose. Hear from current Vassar students on how they’re able to find community from a variety of student organizations, academic resources, affinity groups, and more!
3:30pm: Community Resource Fair and Campus Tours
Meet students and staff from Vassar’s many programs and offices, including our affinity centers, the Center for Career Education, and Athletics. Come learn about the many ways they contribute to our supportive campus community!
